A Guide to Golf Etiquette and Golf Accessories

Introduction
Golf, a sport that marries precision with leisure, invites us to not only master the swing but to embrace the art of etiquette on the course. As we step onto the lush fairways, let's explore the unwritten rules that ensure a harmonious and enjoyable golfing experience for all.
Respect the Pace of Play: Time is of the essence in golf, and maintaining a steady pace of play is crucial. Be ready for your shot, avoid unnecessary delays, and be conscious of the groups behind you. If you find yourself falling behind, invite faster players to play through, fostering a considerate atmosphere on the course. I do not condone "speed golf" where players are attempting to set course records for speeding through a round just to say they played a round today. Enjoy your round, reasonably.
Divot and Pitch Mark Repair: Every swing leaves a mark, but it's our responsibility to mend the traces. Repair divots by replacing displaced turf and utilizing the sand and seed mix provided. On the greens, delicately fix pitch marks with a repair divot tool to ensure a smooth surface for all golfers. We explore this topic in another post more in-depth. We sell a great divot tool that even doubles as a cigar stand.
Keep Noise to a Minimum: Golf is a game that demands concentration. Be mindful of your surroundings, and keep noise levels down. Shouting, mobile phones, and unnecessary chatter should be kept at a volume that doesn't disrupt fellow golfers. Don't clatter around in your bag while someone is about to swing. Let them have their moment. If you like music on the course that is fine just check with fellow players if they are cool with it. If not, bring some earbuds and show them you live in the Apple ecosystem at a premium rent fee. If you smoke don't click your 10-jet butane cigar lighter while they are in their backswing. Show some mercy.
Respect Others' Space: Whether in a group or playing solo, be aware of your fellow golfers' personal space. Avoid walking through their line of sight or talking during their swing. It's a small gesture that contributes to the tranquility of the game. Don't use your cigar cutter on the green, find a trash can.
Proper Cart Etiquette: If you're using a golf cart, adhere to designated cart paths and observe any course-specific rules. Avoid driving too close to greens, bunkers, or tee boxes. Ensure that your cart doesn't damage the course and is parked in designated areas. Use a cigar ashtray rather than allowing your cigar's ashes cake your riding partner in them.
Rake Bunkers: Bunkers are an integral part of golf course design, and it's essential to leave them in the best possible condition for the next player. After hitting out of a bunker, use the rake provided to smooth the sand, erasing footprints and divots.
Adhere to Dress Code: Many golf courses have a dress code in place. Respect these guidelines by wearing appropriate attire. From collared shirts to non-metal spiked shoes, adhering to the dress code contributes to the overall ambiance of the course. Some courses are more formal than others, read the room.
Leave No Trace: As you make your way through the course, pick up after yourself. Dispose of trash in designated bins and ensure that you leave the course as pristine as you found it. If you smoke, out your cigar or cigarette and dispose of it properly. Most courses will also offer ash trays in carts if you ask for them. Check out our lineup of off-course ashtrays.
Learn and Follow Local Rules: Each golf course may have specific rules and regulations. Take the time to familiarize yourself with these local guidelines to ensure you're playing in accordance with the course's unique requirements.
Come Prepared: We all know a guy that is constantly asking someone for something. It can include annoying questions such as: "hey do you have a tee?", "Hey do you have a golf ball marker?", "Hey do you have a cigar cutter or lighter?" Ok the last one isn't too bad because we sometimes like to flex our top-notch gear. But the point is don't be a guy "needy" guy on the course. We stock a great selection of golf ball markers if you need them.
Golf course etiquette is the silent conductor orchestrating the symphony of the game. By embracing these unwritten rules, we not only enhance our own experience on the fairways but also contribute to a culture of respect and enjoyment for every golfer. Happy golfing!
